NextGate Expands International Presence with New Office in Glasgow
Office opening enables NextGate to accommodate and accelerate growth in product development, services and customer support
PASADENA, Calif., November 15, 2018 – NextGate, a global leader in healthcare enterprise identification, announced the opening of a new office in Glasgow, Scotland to accommodate sustained growth and solidify its commitment to supporting healthcare organizations around the world with effective and innovative identity matching technology. The new location strengthens NextGate’s presence in the U.K. while procuring access to a pool of young, local talent in the heart of the region’s area universities and emerging tech community.
The expansion represents a key development for NextGate as it continues to establish itself internationally as the premier patient identification provider. The company’s full suite of identity management solutions address formidable challenges for organizations that rely upon accurate, comprehensive health records and reliable data exchange for critical improvements in care quality, efficiency and safety.
The company opened its Glasgow branch, located at 100 W. George Street, with six full-time employees and plans to hire more staff to support both current and future customers and to meet the rising demand for accurate patient and provider data across the U.K. and European health sectors.
The announcement follows NextGate’s recently awarded multi-year contract with NHS National Services Scotland to assign and manage the National Patient Identifiers known as Community Health Index, or CHI numbers.
“The opening of our office in Glasgow signifies our strategic expansion efforts and underpins NextGate’s mission to deliver industry-leading identity management solutions to customers around the globe,” said NextGate CEO Andy Aroditis. “It is clear that as the digitization of healthcare continues to mature, organizations at home and abroad will need to accurately and consistently connect the right data to the right individual to empower clinicians and patient alike, drive down costs, and deliver the best care possible.”
NextGate currently operates in four countries and is involved in managing over 300 million lives internationally. Dedicated to long-term growth and market leadership, NextGate has expanded its company footprint greatly over the past two years with an ever-increasing customer base, several new hires, key strategic partnerships, and product innovations in cloud computing. With its new office in Glasgow, NextGate remains poised to experience yet another successful, profitable year of growth and development.
“As a socially responsible company, NextGate is dedicated to giving back to the communities in which we operate and hiring locally,” said Aroditis. “Glasgow is a vibrant city with a rich history, bright future and wealth of software development talent, making it a highly desirable location to strengthen our global market reach and better serve our customers across the U.K.”
