NextGate’s Identity Matching EMPI Solution Now Available in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace

Microsoft Azure customers worldwide can now gain access to NextGate’s market-leading EMPI to take advantage of the scalability, reliability and agility of Azure to drive application development and shape business strategies.

PASADENA, Calif., June 9, 2020 – NextGate, a global leader in healthcare enterprise identification, announced today the availability of its market-leading Enterprise Master Patient Index (EMPI) in the Microsoft Azure Marketplace, an online store providing applications and services for use on Microsoft Azure. By choosing the “Transact” option, customers can now take immediate advantage of the NextGate EMPI platform, contracting directly through the Azure Marketplace for rapid deployment and implementation.

Microsoft Azure is an integral part of NextGate’s Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) strategy to provide customers affordable, scalable identity matching solutions that help to consistently link and orchestrate healthcare data in a highly secure and compliant IT environment. NextGate’s EMPI, which manages patient identities for more than two-thirds of the U.S. population and over a third of the population in the U.K., is the first and only EMPI solution of its kind with an offering in Azure Marketplace.

“We are extremely pleased that NextGate’s EMPI is now available for direct purchase through the Microsoft Azure Marketplace,” said Andy Aroditis, CEO of NextGate. “By joining the Azure Marketplace and enabling the ‘transact’ feature, our industry-leading platform now becomes readily available to the vast community of Microsoft enterprise customers who are looking for innovative ways to further their patient identity management strategies.”

The Azure Marketplace is an online market for buying and selling cloud solutions certified to run on Azure. The Azure Marketplace helps connect companies seeking innovative, cloud-based solutions with partners who have developed solutions that are ready to use.

Through the Azure Marketplace, contracting and implementing NextGate’s EMPI platform becomes simpler, considerably reducing the time it takes to activate the service, for which demand is rapidly growing.

“With the rapid proliferation of healthcare data and a distinct need to address the information sharing gaps that have hindered our nation’s response to COVID-19, a premium is being placed on integrated solutions that consistently link the right data with the right individual for accurate patient identification throughout the continuum,” said Aroditis. “We’re proud to help customers accelerate the adoption of critical patient identification technology through Azure Marketplace that will reduce medical errors and eliminate needless costs and inefficiencies that result from duplicate, inaccurate or incomplete medical records.”

Sajan Parihar, Senior Director, Microsoft Azure Platform at Microsoft Corp., said, “We’re proud to welcome NextGate to the Microsoft Azure Marketplace. Through Microsoft Azure Marketplace, customers around the world can easily find, buy, and deploy partner solutions they can trust, all certified and optimized to run on Azure.”
