Certification demonstrates identity solutions provider’s ongoing commitment to global security, compliance, and data protection

PASADENA, Calif., January 29, 2021NextGate, the global leader in healthcare enterprise identification, announced today that it has received the United Kingdom National Cyber Security Centre’s (NCSC) Cyber Essentials certification. The government-endorsed designation is a key part of the UK’s National Cyber Security Programme, designed to help organizations guard against common cybersecurity threats and ensure sensitive data is secure.

The Cyber Essentials certification recognizes NextGate’s vigorous data protection practices and buoyant cyber defenses, and demonstrates the company’s ongoing commitment to trust, security, and compliance.

“Achieving the Cyber Essentials designation reflects NextGate’s commitment to safeguarding our customers against online risk and vulnerability threats,” said Greg Rumple, Chief Information Security Officer of NextGate. “Further, it ensures that the sensitive data we are entrusted with, is unequivocally protected.”

NextGate attained the Cyber Essentials certification through the IASME Consortium, one of four accreditation bodies specified and appointed by the UK Government, after a rigorous review of its IT security measures.

  • Policies and procedures to maintain compliance
  • Anti-virus and anti-malware software

“Embracing the very highest standards in security and compliance assures NextGate customers that their data is highly protected,” said Royston Adamson-Green, NextGate’s Director of EMEA and APAC Channel Sales. “We are also currently pursuing other critical privacy and security certifications, including HITRUST and ISO 27001.”
